On 31 March 2025, the Green YOUth Changemakers youth group in Karlovo organised awareness sessions in two local schools: Vasil Levski High School and the General Vladimir Zaimov Vocational School in Sopot.

During the meetings, young participants presented the project’s objectives and achievements, highlighting activities such as international mobilities, ecological campaigns, and citizen science actions on the Danube. They then led workshops on key topics, including:

• Water conservation, with practical advice on reducing consumption.
• Recycling and waste reduction, stressing the importance of separating waste at source.
• Sustainable consumption, focusing on extending the life of clothes and reusing household objects to limit unnecessary waste.

The interactive format encouraged students to exchange opinions and propose solutions tailored to their schools and communities. The activities also served as preparation for the upcoming April tree-planting campaigns, linking the protection of water resources to broader efforts for biodiversity conservation.

The event ended with a call to action: young people were encouraged to see themselves as ambassadors for sustainability, spreading awareness among their peers and families.
