On 14 April 2025, volunteers from Asociația Mod of Life visited Bistrița Secondary School, where 35 children from lower secondary level discovered how plastic waste can be turned into beautiful jewellery.

Using a pultrusion device, PET bottles were transformed into filament for 3D printers. From this recycled material, the children created earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and pendants, all printed on-site.

Afterwards, each student personalised their jewellery with acrylic paints, combining technology, art, and environmental education in a unique experience.

The workshop also included discussions on the dangers of plastic pollution and the importance of giving materials a second life. Children left with smiles, colourful creations, and the conviction that small actions can make a big difference for the planet.
